Folate & Depression Connection

We are seeing that depression can have several underlying causes. When treated holistically through therapy and nutritional & lifestyle changes can help the person get back to life quicker.

Research is showing that a deficiency in vitamin B9-folate can cause depression and also block antidepressants from working properly.

Include foods rich in folate such as - beef liver, spinach, asparagus, broccoli, brussel sprouts, romaine lettuce, avocado, mushrooms, other leafy greens, soybeans, wheat germ, fruits, beans, whole grains, starchy veggies, other organ meats, & orange juice.

As always check with your doctor to see if you are deficient and before starting any supplements.
